Lansing Community College (LCC) is a public two-year college located on 42 acres in downtown Lansing four blocks from the Michigan State Capitol Building. Michigan is the eighth largest state in the United States, and Lansing is its capital city and just a few miles from Michigan State University. Serving a population of over 450,000 located in the tri-counties of Ingham, Eaton and Clinton County, the LCC tax district is comprised of the fifteen school districts. Lansing Community College is committed to providing excellence in education and to providing education as a lifelong opportunity for a changing community. The college serves almost 40,000 students each year. Students of every race and nationality are welcome. Among the 19,201 students enrolled for spring semester 2004, the average age student is 28. Almost half the student population takes courses to transfer to another institution, while the rest come to learn a specific skill or certification. The campus atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with class size averaging 25 students.

Admission
Applicants outside the United States should contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for TOEFL registration information. LCC requires 500 on the paper-based TOEFL or 173 on the computer-based TOEFL for academic admission. The LCC TOEFL institution code is 1414 and score reports must be received directly from the TOEFL company. Please note that TOEFL score reports from applicants outside the United States must be received by the semester deadline date.
